When David contemplated who God is, His works of Creation and how He endowed man as His image bearer with such glory and honor, he was struck with awe and wonder. His response of praise had no choice but to burst out of him as he proclaimed, "How Majestic is your name in all the Earth!" Psalm 8 also describes the response of Jesus' heart as He meditated on God, the Father. How much fuller should our praise be as we now include the Person and work of Jesus in our meditations?

The kings of antiquity displayed their power and authority in very obvious and typical ways. Their parades into cities were filled with Majestic pomp and Military muscle, but Jesus, the King entered Jerusalem riding a donkey. Though He disappointed the Political expectations of the crowds, the Humble Messiah's March to His Conquest over sin was exactly what Scripture foretold. What about your expectations for Jesus?
